He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Sulzberger (Reed) and Earl Sulzberger; his siblings, Earl Jr. Sulzberger, Robert Sulzberger, Darryl Sulzberger and Marilyn Kay Gansey; and his grandson Michael Sulzberger.
He is survived by: his wife Carole Sue Combites of Stronghurst, Illinois.; his children, Kevin Sulzberger (Kati) of Topeka, Kansas, Kris McClanahan of Burlington, Kim Covey of Burlington and Kent Sulzberger (Angela) of Morton, Illinois.; his grandchildren, Tony Rose, Tami Breen, Ashley Nichols, Courtney Kruse, Jade Hierstein, Mackenzie Covey, Skylar McClanahan, Shelby McClanahan, Bryce Sulzberger, Kaylee Sulzberger and Keon Sulzberger; and his brother Fred Sulzberger of Rogers, Arkansas.. He is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren.
