He was predeceased by: his parents, Chester A. Bowman and Stella Marie Stimpson Bowman; and his sisters, Kate Cartwright and Linda Weaver. He is survived by: his wife Betty Bowman of Burlington; his daughters, Carole A. Whitcomb (Howard) of Marshalltown, IA and Mary L. Wallace of Canton, Illinois; his grandchildren, Kyrie Edla (Harsha) of Bloomington, IL, Victoria Whitcomb (Zack Nemmers), Taylor Wallace of Canton, IL and Nicholas Whitcomb (Riley) of Sioux City, IA; his great grandchild Shivaji Edla of Bloomington, IL; and his siblings, Steve Bowman of Carman, IL, Phillip Bowman of Dallas City, IL, Chester E. Bowman of Dallas City, IL and Diane Bowman of Kirkwood, IL. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
