He is survived by: his wife Kay Conrad of Burlington; his daughters, Christina Fowler (Joseph) of Maryland and Carolynn Conrad of Florida; his grandsons, Joseph, Matthew, Daniel Fowler and Gavin Conrad; and his cousin Glen Thompson of West Burlington.

A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House, Des Moines County Humane Society, and Burlington YMCA.
