He was predeceased by: his parents, James Blott and Janette [Danielson] Blott of Burlington. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Evans of Fort Madison, Iowa.; his daughter Shelly [Tom] Watts of Burlington; and his grandchildren, Alex [Courtney] Gaddis of Bethesda Maryland, Tyler [Samantha] Watts of Fort Madison and Sami Watts of Iowa City.

A memorial has been established for West Burlington United Methodist Church.
