He was predeceased by: his parents, Osmond Ripperger and Marie Callahan Ripperger; his brothers, Michael and Bill; and his grandson Tyler Ripperger.
He is survived by: his wife Grace; his children, Mark Ripperger (Kelly), Ronnie Ripperger, Lynn Hartsock and Lonnie Hartsock (Sandy Elmore); his grandchildren, Kaci Watson (Dee), Nathan Ripperger, Hunter Hartsock, Emily Hartsock, Shelby Hartsock (Ryan Healy) and Tanner Hartsock (Jerusha Rice); his great grandchildren, Kayla Watson, Derrek Watson, Monne Watson, Kiley Ripperger, Cohen Touch, Sophie Ripperger, Caleb Ripperger and Tyler Ripperger; and his sisters, Marti Hawkins (Bob), Sally See and Mary Jane Church (Roy).
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Gary's memory are suggested to the Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House in West Burlington.
