She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Kroeger and Mae Kuhl Kroeger; her former husband Richard H. Brown; her siblings, Erna M Wolf, Lee Kappeler and Davip P. Kroeger; and her son Steve Brown.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Bixenman of Fort Madison; her children, Jeffrey Brown (Sandy) of Wever Iowa and Kimberly McCulloch (Mark); her grandchildren, Joshua McColluch, Layla Brown, Kevin Brown (Teresa), Cole, Haley, Kaitlyn of Davenport Iowa and Nancy Askew; her great grandchildren, Lauren Brown and Arlo of San Francisco; her siblings, Kathleen Betchkal of Shaker and Kurt Kroeger of Long Grove, Iowa.; Kai of Columbia Missouri. She is also survived by four step children, and ten step grandchildren.
She served her community in many ways, including the SCC Advisory board, GE Retirees Board of Directors, and RSVP Advisory board.
A memorial has been established for P.A.W.'s Animal Shelter, 2301 48th Street, Fort Madison, Iowa 52657.
