With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Goldie Davis (Burlington, Iowa), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 12, 2024 at the age of 99. Though Goldie has departed this earthly realm, her legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May her spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Hanson and Mary Hanson; her husband Duane "Davy" Davis; and her son Thomas. She is survived by: her children, Mary Engberg (Robert) of Burlington, Randall Davis of Homosassa and Bradley Davis of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii; and her grandchildren, Aaron Engberg (Karen) of Burlington, Emily Engberg (John Fallin), Traci Davis of Geneseo, Tagan Timmerman (Josh) of Walcott and Tyler Davis (MacKenzie) of Boone. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church (1111 5th Ave N, Fort Dodge, IA 50501). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
