She was predeceased by: her parents, George A. Tenhaaf and Lavina F. Hancock Tenhaaf. She is survived by: her daughter Judi Newland (Keith) of Burlington; her granddaughter Shannon Lundquist of Burlington; and her sister Ruth Wyborny of Burlington.

A memorial has been established for the Des Moines County Humane Society.
