Hester Steele Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Hester Steele of Burlington, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 15, 2026 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Hester shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Hester farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred Schilb and Gladys Boughton; and her grandson Mike. She is survived by: her children, Paula Keziah (Calvin) of Seven Springs, Nancy DeFosse of Burlington, Lucinda Miller (Dale) of Burlington, Karen Armstrong of Burlington, Christine Dorsey of Burlington, Chuck Steele (Ruby) of Morning Sun and Jim Steele of Gladstone; and her sister Susan Wisener of West Burlington. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
