He is survived by: his children, Marjorie Fry (Bill) of Burlington, Sally Stoermer-Worrell of Gallatin, TN, David Stoermer (Bo) of Dixon, IL, Michael Stoermer (Vickie) of Urbandale, IA, Wade Stoermer (Robin) of Columbia, MO, Heidi Watts (Douglas) of Burlington and Holly Crabb (Jason) of Davenport, IA; and his sister Susan Drawve of Stockton, CA. He is also survived by sixteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Memorials have been established in his memory for the Walk to End Alzheimer's Southeast Iowa/Burlington Chapter or Southeast Iowa Regional Medical Center Home Health & Hospice.
