He is survived by: his siblings, William Pilger (Linda) of West Burlington, Jean Miller of Solon, Joyce Pilger of Burlington, John Pilger (Joan) of Burlington, Thomas Pilger and Janet Brissey of Burlington; and his sister-in-law Nancy Pilger of Burlington.
A memorial has been established for the Des Moines County Historical Society.
