She was predeceased by: her parents, LeRoy O. Schmidt and Thelma P. Schmidt (Weller). She is survived by: her husband Raymond John Gallagher; her son Michael Ray Gallagher (Sheila) of Burlington; her grandchildren, Morgan Ray Gallagher and Melissa Jeanette Stanton (Rob); her stepgranddaughter Sarah Emmett (Matt); her children, Anthony, Olivia and Takumi; and her brother LeRoy "Duke" Schmidt Jr. (Cid) of Fairfield. She is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established for the Des Moines County Humane Society.
