He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer George and Marcia Jean Whaley Snyder; and his brother Richard Snyder. He is survived by: his siblings, David Scott Snyder of Burlington and Teresa Ruberg (Tim) of Burlington; his nephew Tyler; his niece Marcy; and his great-nieces, Layla and Savannah.

A memorial has been established for the Des Moines County Humane Society.
