He was predeceased by: his parents, John Luther and Eunice Louisa Houseman Ibbotson; his sisters, Nina Vosecky and Nadine Ibbotson; and his close friend Marjorie Hampton.
He is survived by: his former wife Carolyn Ann Kuntz; his children, John Paul Ibbotson of Colorado Springs, CO, Dianne Hayes of Morning Sun, IA, Lynn Humphreys (Paul) of Winfield and Meredith Lee (Benny) of Mt. Pleasant, Iowa; and his sister Nola Wilson of Milton, IA. He is also survived by six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Salvation Army of Burlington.
