He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Joseph and Lola Lucille Metcalf (West); and his siblings, Janice Jackson, Marian Logston, Helen Russel, Jean Stamper, Martin Jr., Charles, John, James, Frank, Tom, Richard and Lysle Metcalf.

He is survived by: his siblings, Marita Bennett (Frank) of Tennessee and Jerry Metcalf of Alaska.
