She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Bechtel and Helen Conlee Bechtel; and her brother Ronald Bechtel. She is survived by: her husband Fred Hofmann of Burlington; her son Chad Hofmann (Mary) of West Burlington; her grandsons, Brandon Hofmann (Shelby) and Colin Hofmann (Brynn); her stepgrandchildren, Sidney and Spencer Ellsworth; her great grandchild Theo Hofmann; and her siblings, Gary Bechtel of Burlington, Marlene Jacobs of Burlington, Tina Olomon of Burlington and Brenda Graham (Kevin) of Burlington. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) for the Kids Camp.
