We are sad to announce that, on May 3, 2020, at the age of 81, Lorena Kivlahan (Burlington, Iowa), born in Detroit, Michigan passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lorena Kivlahan to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul William and Laura Louise Gaedke Hillebrand; her husband James Jerome Kivlahan M. D.; and her son-in-law Joe Best. She is survived by: her daughters, Lori "Laura" Kivlahan of Fort Madison, Margaret Herman (Tom) of La Habra, CA, Jane Best of Eden Prairie, MN, Kathy Suarez (David) of Burlington and Annie Powell (Marcus) of New London; and her sisters, Kitty Winke of Fort Madison, Jane Hillebrand of Flint, MI and Mary Margaret Hillebrand of Southfield, MI. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for the Des Moines County Humane Society and Divine Mercy Parish.
