She was predeceased by: her parents, Lewis C. Jennings and Anna L. Jennings (Carlson); her husband Gerald M. Hemphill; and her sisters, Lois Breuer and Pauline Kraft.
She is survived by: her son Randy Hemphill (Mary Jane) of West Burlington, Iowa; and her grandchildren, Shane Hemphill of Morning Sun, IA, Mark Crooks of West Burlington, IA, Jeff Crooks of St. Joseph, MI and Carolyn Sueppel of Iowa City, IA. She is also survived by thirteen great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established in her memory for the Special Needs Foundation.
