She was predeceased by: her parents, George Leonard and Mary Agnes South Robinson; her husband Frederick Morris Brown; and her children, Margo Swift and Frederick Morris Brown Jr..

She is survived by: her children, Kevin Knotts (Julie) of Holland, MI, Jeffrey Knotts of Burlington, Sherry J. Wilson (Collin) and Dauphine Thomas of Burlington; her great great grandchild Bonus; her son Derrick Overstreet of Holland, MI; and her close friend Ray Robinson of Burlington. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren.

A memorial has been established for Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House.
