He was predeceased by: his mother Mary Ann Savacool Goetz; and his sister-in-law Karen Goetz. He is survived by: his father Jack Goetz; his siblings, John (Kim) of Keokuk, Dan (Vicky) of Excelsior Springs, MO, Joe (Amy) of Keokuk and Martha Riney (Randy) of Keokuk; and his nieces and nephews, Jennifer Goetz, Austin Goetz, Matt Goetz (Jan), Sara Owen (Tyler), Jessica Goetz, Michael Goetz (Ashley), David Riney (Leigh Ann), Daniel Riney (Kelli), Martin "Chuck" Riney, Jessie Clark (Brandon), Nickie Lynn (Jesse), Patrick Goetz and Allie Hayden. He is also survived by 9 great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for Priests' Aid Society and Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House.
