He was predeceased by : his parents, Marvin Roy and Margaret Lansing Sr. (Schaefer); and his grandson Carter Joseph Lansing. He is survived by : his wife Betty Lansing (French); his sons, Ryan James Lansing and Tyler Joseph Lansing (Allison); his grandchildren, Natalie Lansing and Brodie Lansing; his brother James Lansing (Jeanine); and his sisters-in-law, Bonnie Rohr (Gary) and Barbara Pfeiffer (Robert). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his memory.
