He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Marston, Rosemary Olson and Richard Collins; and his uncle Gregg Olson. He is survived by: his parents, Todd Olson and Patty Collins Olson of Burlington; his sister Rachael Fry (Nicholas) of Nashville, TN; his grandmother Anita Collins of Burlington; his aunts, Debbie Rokosz of Burlington, Kristy Blanco (Diego) of Sarasota, FL, Paula Johnson (Erik) of Warrenton, VA and Shirley Schnedler of Muscatine; and his uncle Scott Olson of Burlington.

A memorial has been established for the Des Moines County Humane Society.
