We announce the death of Melvin Craven of Burlington, Iowa, who passed away on August 2, 2026, at the age of 82. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Craven and Audrey Craven (Bennett); and his brothers, Dewayne Craven and Bob Craven. He is survived by: his wife Judy Craven; his children, Alan Craven (Dana) and Laurie Chelf (Todd); his grandchildren, AnaEliza Martin (Charles), Alarie Newton (Eric), Ashlyn Craven, Jonathan Chelf, Benjamin Chelf, Lucas Chelf and Elisabeth Chelf; his great grandchild Kipton Newton; and his siblings, Jan Monson and Dennis Craven (Bobbi). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
