He was predeceased by: his parents, William Smith and Hattie Smith; his brother Ivory Johnson; and his grandparents, Joseph and Dorothy Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Ronnie Thomas and Melissa Smith; his siblings, Michelle Kelly (Walter), Walter Johnson (Sylvia Wrenthrope) and Dorsey Johnson; his grandchildren, Ronnie Thomas Jr. and Syriah Thomas; and his sister-in-law Angie Johnson. He is also survived by uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
