He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Diaz and Juanita Sweptson (Dal); his sister Judy Bojorquez; and his wife Jo Ann Diaz. He is survived by: his former wife Judy Lauver; his children, Teresa, Michael (Mickey), Niña Zaiser (Scott) and Mickey Diaz (Sheila); his siblings, John Diaz (Judy), Bob Diaz (Mari) and Jessie Dickenson; his grandchildren, Brandall Diaz, Machaela Wrede (Brant), Ethan and Elayna Zaiser; and his great grandchildren, Cal McElderry, Sonny and Rush Wrede. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established to the Klein's Center Memory Care Unit and Great River Hospice.
