She was predeceased by: her parents, Donald Keller and Margaret Keller (Dierst); her former husband Larry "Cowboy" Chitwood; her daughter Sara Chitwood; her grandchildren, Faith Kaller and Malena Torres; and her sisters, Donna Welsch (Billy) and Dorothy Briggs (John).
She is survived by: her sister Judy Mundy of Georgia; her daughters, Judi Hayes (Joey) of Columbus Junction, Lisa Jones of Illinois City and Sherry Scott of Missouri; her grandchildren, Jessica (Jamey), Eric (Megan), Jake (Kallie), Colton (Tierra), Dylan (Nikilah), Brittany (Aaron), Darrien (Nico), Morgan (Damian), Cloe, Adam, Ethan, Heather (Curt), Jenny, Anthony, Ashlee (Charlie), Samantha (Nico), Destiny, Bella, Shawn, Christian (Tianna), Allie, Libby, Makayla and Mackenzie; her great grandchildren, Drake, Levi (Patrick), Aiden, Liam, Killian, Owen, Maci, Ruby, Presley, Stephen, Vivi, Izaiah, Dominic, Kennedie (Carolyn), Ladus, Mekhi, Tyler and Henry; and her daughters, Melissa (Curt), Kathy (Neil), Malena, Helen, Holly, Michelle (Tom) and Nicole (Shawn). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A memorial gathering was held on Sunday, September 20th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Columbus Junction American Legion.
