She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Cole and Della Cole (Sell); and her spouse Marion R. Shaffer. She is survived by: her sons, Mark Shaffer (Teresa) of Burlington and David Shaffer (Annette) of Burlington; and her sister Greeta Walters. She is also survived by six grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
A memorial has been established in her memory for Grace United Methodist Church.
