He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Smith and Alfa Nell Smith; and his sister Donna Sue. He is survived by: his wife Jean Smith of Burlington; his children, Renee Fynquist and Scott Smith (Amy); his grandchildren, Kya, Rosi, Spencer and Parker; his great grandchild Zayden; and his siblings, John and Nancy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for First Christian Church ~ Disciples of Christ and a scholarship will be established for a Burlington student who is pursuing a career in a vocational trade.
