He is survived by: his wife Helen Morris; his children, John Penrod (Veronica), Mike Penrod, Susan Hartman (Wayne), Lonna Boeset (Doug), Matthew Penrod, Luke Penrod (Wendy), Mary Whitehead (Jake), Cherry Penrod (Brian) and Amelia Penrod (Thomas); and his siblings, Floyd Penrod (Patty), Elsie Stafford and Barb Glendening (Gary). He is also survived by several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A memorial has been established in his memory for Great River Klein Center.
