With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard Lee Schmidt of Burlington, Iowa, who passed away on February 2, 2024 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Roy Schmidt and Marguerite Schmidt (Bonar); and his siblings, Ronald "Ribeye", John and Rosemary Olson.
He is survived by : his children, Gregory Schmidt (Tara) and Sarah Schmidt of Burlington; his grandchildren, William Schmidt and Ava Schmidt; and his sister Shirley Schnedler (John) of Burlington. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial has been established to the Burlington Area Honor Guard.
