He was predeceased by: his parents, George W. Gillis and Marquita M. Gillis (Green); his siblings, Catherine Brown and Lonnie Gillis; and his nephews, Anthony "Tony" Gallego and Tharon Gillis.
He is survived by: his wife Lynnette Gall; his daughters, Andrea Baker (Rick) of Douglas, Erin Gillis of West Point and Christina Donlan of Garden Grove, Iowa; his grandchildren, Dean Baker (Jessie), Lee Baker (Natalie), Ryen Rater, Ty Baker, Garrett Vanderpool, Sydnee Vanderpool, Ashton Gillis, Keira Cernich, William Gillis, Jade-Lynn Gillis, Emylee Gillis and Hunter Mason; his siblings, Charles Gillis of Burlington, Lori Peterman of Douglas and Estella Richie of Minnesota; and his pets, Zoey and Poppy. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his memory for a charity of your choice.
