He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Pforts and Dorothy Pforts (Liechty). He is survived by: his significant other Lisa A. Kalkbrenner of West Burlington; his children, Jeff Pforts of Burlington and Allyssa Gill (Michael) of Canton, Georgia; his grandsons, Henry Pforts of West Point, Liam of Canton, Georgia and Gabriel Gill of Canton, Georgia; his siblings, Mary Ann Sieren (Steve) of Keota and Franklin Pforts (Laura) of Clearfield, Utah.; and his pet Luna. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Lunning Funeral Chapel (2620 Mt Pleasant St, Burlington, IA 52601).
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his memory for P.A.W. Animal Shelter in Fort Madison, Iowa.
