He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Pepmeyer and Delores Werner Pepmeyer; and his sisters, Diana and Nancy. He is survived by: his children, Amanda Smith (Casey) of De Witt, IA, Michelle Pepmeyer of Burlington and Ron J. Pepmeyer (Molly) of Tiffin; and his grandchildren, Collin, Layla, Cecilia, Carter and Addy.

A memorial has been established for Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice House.
