She was predeceased by: her parents, William Aurthur and Vera Ibbotson Gibbs; her grandson Garrett; and her daughter-in-law Renee. She is survived by: her sons, Jeff Sandy of Burlington and Jim Sandy of Burlington; her grandson Grant Sandy of Burlington; her sister Donna Miller of West Burlington; and her sisters-in-law, Nancy Stevenson of Gladstone, IL and Becky Brill of Burlington. She is also survived by two nephews and three nieces.
A memorial has been established for the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital.
