He was predeceased by: his sister-in-law Heather Nichols; his uncle Bill Fisher; and his cousins, Andrew Fisher and Danny Larson. He is survived by: his parents, Joe Nichols and Sally Nichols; his brothers, Lonny Nichols (Louise) of Ashburn, VA, Joseph Nichols of Burlington and Scott Nichols (Bobbi) of Ottawa, IL; and his nieces and nephews, Ian, Jackson Nichols, Katherine Nichols and Olivia Baker. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial has been established for Disabled American Veterans (DAV).
