With sadness, we share the passing of Shannon Wilson of Burlington, Iowa. Shannon, born on January 27, 1961, passed away on October 1, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Chalmace G. Wilson and Delores Blakkolb Wilson (Dee); and his brother Linc Wilson. He is survived by: his wife Cindee Crabb Schmidt; his stepchildren, Gregory Schmidt (Tara) of Blanchard, IA and Sarah Schmidt (Andrew McCartney); his grandchildren, Liam and Ava Schmidt of Blanchard, IA; his sister Tracee Ford (Greg) of Cody, NE; his sister-in-law Margo Wilson of Phoenix, AZ.; and his nieces and nephews, Shae Schneider (T. J.) of Parker, CO, Teeyl Ford of Cody, NE, Jais Connealy (Jed) of Whitman, NE., Layne Ford (Arielle) of Ord, NE and Reed Ford (Mary Kay) of Cody, NE.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Prugh Funeral Service (3940 Division St, Burlington, IA 52601). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the The Drake (106 Washington St, Burlington, IA 52601).
In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for PAWS Animal Shelter and Iowa Donor Network.
