With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Susan L Philpott of Burlington, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 26, 2025 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Gallagher and Frances Gallagher (Cronk); her husband Rick Philpott; and her sisters, Julie Gallagher, Sandra Bonnesen, Doris Ghrist and Joyce Hester.
She is survived by: her children, Christy Torri (Fran) of Grove City, Jason Philpott (Jessie) of Burlington and Kendra Crawford (Eric) of West Burlington; her grandchildren, Patrick, Alexandria Smith, Jacob and Joshua Philpott; her great grandchild Caleb Smith; and her sisters, Jean Bollander, Delores Sattler, Linda Allely and Mary Fanning. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Lunning Funeral Chapel (2620 Mt Pleasant St, Burlington, IA 52601). A funeral service was held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
A memorial has been established in her memory for the West Burlington Community School District, Falcon Food Pantry.
