She was predeceased by : her parents, Kenneth Rich and Bonnie Rich Sr. (Reid); and her stepson Shawn. She is survived by : her husband Ronald Hummer of Burlington; her children, Blake Umthun (Lori) of Des Moines, Brooke Bermudez (Manuel) of California and Grant Hummer of Burlington; her stepson Jody Hummer (Yolanda) of Burlington; her grandchildren, Taden, Landen, Anthony, Andrew, Natalie and Jefferey; her stepgrandchildren, Jeana and Damien; and her siblings, Kenneth Rich Jr. of Mt. Union, Marcia Gaines (Mort) of Fairfield, Kelly Ripperger (Mark) of Burlington and Tony Rich (Liz) of Burlington. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A memorial has been established for the Des Moines County Humane Society.
