He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Nelson and Della Ruth Bledsoe; and his sister Cyndi Mahoney. He is survived by: his brothers, Raymond Bledsoe (Angelia) and James Bledsoe (Kim) of Barstow, CA; and his niece Ricci Neilson (Andy) of Burlington. He is also survived by nieces, five nephews, and several great and great great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established for Southeast Iowa Regional Hospice, and Special Needs Foundation of Des Moines County.
