He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Boyd and Mary Boyd (Nortmann); his siblings, Mary Ellen Jensen, Pat, Mike, Jerry and Debbie Jensen; and his brother-in-law Jim Jensen.
He is survived by: his wife Carole Gilliland of Burlington; his children, Andy (Emily Ussery) of Atlanta, Maggie (Mark Mannion) of Kansas City, MO, Carrie (Aaron Vanderhoff) of Des Moines and Tim (Hanna); his grandchildren, Sylvie, Theo, Rowan, Cooper and Kellan; his siblings, Marg McNamara (Dick) and Bill Boyd (Sheila); and his in-laws, Marilyn Boyd, Sally Boyd, Linda Boyd, Dick Jensen, Jon Gilliland (Debbie) and Joe Gilliland (Jane). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
