He is survived by: his former wife Juliann Curry; his children, Jake Willits of Pensacola, Kandi Dowell of Des Moines, Kara Dowell of Des Moines and Adam Gulick of Burlington; and his siblings, Thresa Snowden of Burlington, Roger Dowell of Lomax and Tanya Chewning of Kirkwood. He is also survived by seven grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
