With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Wilfred Thimmesch (Burlington, Iowa), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 24, 2026 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Thimmesch and Marie Thimmesch (Klegseth); his spouse Aurel Warner; his sister Mary Ann; and his daughter Kathleen.
He is survived by: his siblings, Junella, Stephen (Sarah) and Wendell (Marj); his son Michael (Diane); and his grandchildren, Michelle (Jason), Matt (Sherri), Jenna (Clint), Erica (Slade), Sara (Brian) and Jayne (Jess).
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established for St. Joseph's Indian School, Rosebud Reservation, Chamberlain, SD as both Tim and Aurel loved the Native American spirit.
