She was predeceased by: her husband Mickey Bloomquist; and her parents, Howard Piltingsrud and Margaret Piltingsrud (Hunter). She is survived by: her daughters, Heather Applegate (Mark) of Fort Dodge and Heidi Geisler (Wesley Beyers) of Churdan; her grandchildren, Jeff Luft (Kristal), Grace Geisler (Adam Bauer), Jacob Geisler, Boden Bright, Jordyn Luft and Cobey Applegate; her siblings, Janiece Piltingsrud of Fairfield, Douglas Piltingsrud (Mary Kay) of Eyota, MN, Paul Piltingsrud of Gowrie and Priscilla Jerome (Steve) of Lehigh; and her former spouse Dean Swenson. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 2nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Palmer & Sons Funeral Home (1016 Church St, Gowrie, IA 50543). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Our Saviour's Lutheran Church (504 James St, Callender, IA 50523).
