He was predeceased by: his parents, William Shimek and Agnes Shimek (Neuzil); his siblings, Jerome Shimek (Lucille), Arnold Shimek, Marion Bothmer (Clyde) and Lorraine Williams; his parents-in-law, Edward and Hildagarde Bohr; and his siblings-in-law, Dorothy Glover, James Bohr and Ed Bohr.
He is survived by: his children, Constance Hauber (Alan), Sherry Massman (Bill) and Grant Shimek (Jill); his wife Mary Jane; his grandchildren, Megan Finley (Ben), Nicholas Hauber, Michael Hauber (Emily), Kelley Hauber, Alexandra Massman, Jacob Massman (Morgan), Luke Massman, Olivia Massman, Ezra Shimek, Katie Shimek and Sophia Shimek; and his brother-in-law Vince Williams. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
