With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James B Blaess of Camanche, Iowa, born in Clinton, Iowa, who passed away on April 6, 2022 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Walter Blaess and Marjorie Blaess (Piper); and his wife Sandy Beal. He is survived by : his daughter Bambi Blaess of Camanche, Iowa; his nieces, Retha Rubiec, Geri Pursel of California and Cathleen Applo of Hawaii; and his brothers-in-law, Ronnie Beal (Teresa) of Grinnell, IA and Larry Beal (Lori) of Ankeny, IA. He is also survived by other nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

“My sincere condolences to James family. I was totally shocked to hear this news. With my employment with the City of Clinton I totally enjoyed speaking to him once a month with his precipitation totals. We got to know each other well through our years on the phone. We never met in person but I through our conversations we got to know each other well. I looked forward to our monthly phone visits and will dearly miss these. He was a very sincere and caring man. May he rest in peace.”
