With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James L. Ooton Jr. of Camanche, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 12, 2025 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by: his parents, James Levi and Doris Ardelia Ooton, Sr. (Albrecht); his wife Carolyn "Jeanie" Rouse; and his siblings, Sally, Kirby and Ronald.
He is survived by: his children, Shala Ooton of Camanche and George Ooton of Camanche, Iowa; his siblings, Janette Steinhauer of Osage Beach, Beth Finke (William) of Camdenton and Kenny Ooton (Karen) of Worden; and also Jim. He is also survived by his family, friends.
