He was predeceased by: his parents, August Martens and Anna Martens (Diericks); his sons, Joel and Randy; his granddaughter Heather; and his siblings, Mary Ann and Leo.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Goethals; and his children, Marianne Wagemester (Tom) of Clinton, Brian (Karla Taylor) of Camanche, Chris (Kelly) of Camanche and Brent (Sara) of Goose Lake. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and greatgrandchildren; nieces and nephews.
