He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Butler and Bernadine Butler (Doyle); his wife Gloria Williams; and his brothers, William and Richard Butler (Lina McConnaughey).
He is survived by: his children, Dennis Butler of Albuquerque, NM, Darcia Streets (Frank) of Clinton, Debra Butler of Charlotte, NC and Angela Reich (Douglas) of Oxford, CT; his grandchildren, Melissa McNamara (Joe) of Clinton, Collin Reich of Oxford, CT, Erin Reich of Arlington Heights, IL and Bradley Sabation of Bentonville, AR; and his brother James Butler (Jonette) of Atlantis, FL. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials may be directed to the Disabled Veterans Association or to the Church of the Visitation in Robert's name.
