With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ronald Eugene Blatchley of Camanche, Iowa, who passed away on October 17, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Ronald may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ronald touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Raleigh Blatchley and Ida Blatchley (Taylor); his wife Evelyn L. Dunlap of Camanche, IA; his son Brian Blatchley of Camanche, IA; his stepsister Kay Larkey of Davenport, IA; his half-sisters, Sandy Henry (Brian) of Newark, OH and Audrey Jensen of Castro Valley, CA; and his sister-in-law Sibyl Dunlap of Peoria, AZ.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Camanche Chapel Snell-Zornig Funeral Homes. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Camanche Chapel, Snell-Zornig Funeral Home.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a Ronald E. "Ron" Blatchley memorial fund has been established.
