He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Gertson and Marcella "Sally" Gertson (Kron); and his siblings, Sharon Matzen, Linda Kraciun and Michael Gertson.
He is survived by: his wife Marcia Hagge; his children, Jennifer Richardson (Jarrod) of Bettendorf, Chad Gertson (Teresa) of Clinton, Kristy Cleppe (Eric) of Bettendorf and Jaclyne Rocole (Brad) of Wisconsin; his grandchildren, TJ, Brandon, Casey, Keaton, Nathan and Kaylee; and his siblings, Penny Campbell (Jim), Mary Jarrett (Leroy), Tony McAndrews (Wendy) and Eugene Gertson Jr.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
